One person is under arrest after officers received reports of a a man with a gun inside Yorkdale Mall on Tuesday.
Toronto police say they were called to the mall located at Dufferin Street and Highway 401 at approximately 6 p.m. that evening, after someone reported seeing a man carrying a gun near the Louis Vuitton store.
In a tweet at 6 p.m. that evening, Toronto police said that officers had received reports of man who was carrying a gun in the mall.

Not long after, officers arrived on the scene and took one person into custody.
According to police, no injuries were reported.
This isn’t the first time Yorkdale has been in the news for reports of a gun at the mall. In 2o21, Toronto police placed Yorkdale Mall under lockdown after gunfire was reported inside the mall. Police charged a 21-year-old Toronto man with a host of firearms charges, and three counts of assault.
