I find myself wandering through Lileo every year in early December. Actually, I think I first discovered the boutique around that time five years ago.
I have a general love for the Distillery District, where Lileo is located. It’s an area of Toronto where I get lost in my thoughts, and drift back to a time that is filled with wonder. I love wandering the cobble paths that weave between the old buildings, invariably popping into the 7000 square foot space that is Lileo along my travels.
The Lileo retail space is immense, and filled with luxurious casual clothing with a creative edge. There are many pieces that catch my eye (always are), but I keep walking back to a bright purple peasant blouse by What Goes Around Comes Around. I can practically hear my friends say, “That is SUCH a Wendy piece!”
I would love to pair this shirt with the gold-studded Current/Elliott jeans I just saw, and a beautiful chocolate brown leather Pollux bag. Add a few things I already own – Frye boots, a long gold necklace, and gold bangles – and we’ve created my perfect casual chic outfit!
As for why I’m attracted to Lileo at this time of year, I think it’s the fabulous array of interesting gifts. From fashion books, to cashmere, to accessories, to lotions, Lileo has something unique for all the men, women, and children on your list!
