It’s time for the fall edition of The Clothing Show. Here are eight vendors we’re looking out for

Touted as Canada’s biggest vintage and brand-spankin’-new indie designer show, The Clothing Show has over 300 booths brimming with local goods. While most of the vendors are focused on swathing your bod in clothing — both vintage and non — there are plenty of accessories, tasty treats and even fetish wear up for grabs. We’ve gone through the list of vendors to find our favourites. Here’s what we hope they’ll bring out this weekend.

I Miss You Vintage

We’re not sure what treasures will be on display, but they’re guaranteed to be good; the last time we stopped by this Ossington shop we loved an ‘80s LBD with a halter neck, bringing suddenly-hot-to-trot Versace to mind.

Curious Oddities

This vintage seafarers lens necklace is crafted out of brass and is both curious and odd; and we're sure the magnifying lens is perfect for, well, something.

NationWares

We’re simply smitten with this multicoloured Guatemalan backpack, fit with both a drawstring and buckle closure. Not only is it a great piece, but all items from the line help people with disabilities from developing countries.

Headmistress

Enough with Kate and her finicky fascinators: this feathered headdress is way less ladylike and packs a spirited punch. Wear while scarfing down a messy burrito.

Species by Sarah Donofrio

Anything sheer catches our eye (for more than one reason); this striped dress from Sarah Donofrio is a stunner for fall, making it easy to dress up or down (in addition to being a great layering piece).

Frederick Prince

This frosted charm bracelet incorporates brushed metal beads and whimsical charms, including vintage soda pops — complete with cherries on top — and an adorable donut.

Sweet Somethings

After all the shopping, we’ll be in need of pick-me-up; some delectable chocolate fudge is just the ticket. We’re into the chocolate orange and cinnamon hazelnut varieties.

Sprucewood Handmade Cookie Co.

Foodies will delight in these artisanal shortbread cookies, made using pure ingredients with both sweet and savory options to choose from. We’re intrigued by the spicy Thai savory cheddar shortbread.
