With summer weather around the corner, that ubiquitous grilling food of choice, the sausage, is sparking a gastro-competition at Marben. Twelve local chefs will test their sausage sass against one another to determine who is the Toronto champion, and Marben wants you to decide.
Starting tomorrow, and continuing on select Wednesdays until September 28, two select chefs will compete in a series of playoff-style cook-offs for the first annual Sausage League. Guests at Marben will have the option of ordering a $25 sausage special, which will include a sausage prepared by each of the battling chefs. After consumption, participating guests can vote on their favourite link. The winning chefs of each evening will go on to cook in the next leg of the competition.
Chefs aren’t restricted to your standard hot-dog cart wieners either, so diners can probably expect a variety of fillers aside from the popular pork and beef (Parts and Labour, apparently, will submit a horse sausage).
So get your game face on, vote for your favourite chef, and prepare to be seduced by sausage. Reservations are strongly recommended.

August 24th: Winners from May 25th and July 6th
September 21st: Winners from June 8th and July 22nd
Finals:
September 28th: The winners from Round 2 vie for the title of Sausage League champion.
