With such a large amount of Toronto talent in the new Barbie movie, it is no surprise that our city is included in the eight-location summer tour in support of the movie.
One of the many Toronto-centric stars of the movie, Ryan Gosling, announced the tour alongside Barbie herself, Margot Robbie via a video on TikTok.
“Margot and I are taking the show on the road,” Gosling says, during the video. “Come see us in Toronto, Canada,” he adds, with a knowing nod.

Robbie and Gosling revealed that the cast of the Barbie movie will be embarking on a global tour that will include stops in Sydney, Seoul, Mexico City, London, Berlin, and, of course, Toronto.
Gosling grew up in nearby London, Ontario, and spent time in the city while dating Rachel McAdams, who also grew up in southwestern Ontario.
The movie also stars another Toronto hunk in Simu Liu as well as the, well, not-so-hunky Michael Cera from Brampton.
The movie stars Margot Robbie as, apparently, one of many Barbies. It is directed by Oscar-nominated writer/director Greta Gerwig (Little Women, Lady Bird).
Although we don’t know the full Barbie story just yet, we do know that Gosling and Liu play rival Kens while Cera plays a character named Allen.
The Barbie movie is pegged for release on July 21.
While tour details are still hush-hush, there is a good chance both Kens will show up for the Toronto tour date and maybe even Allen.
