Grab of the Week: a unique statement necklace from a local designer

Not everyone looks for glitz and glamour when it comes to their choice in jewellery. For some, it’s about an everyday, understated and sentimental piece. For others, it’s about wearing something unique that’s like a piece of art.

Toronto-based designer Kate Nava launched her unisex jewellery line, Composed Geometry, just this year. As the name hints, her work focuses on geometric statement necklaces that play with different shapes and textures in a way that she hopes will help us see “something that is familiar in an unfamiliar way.”

Diamond necklace by Composed Geometry, $60. Available at Lavish and Squalor, 253 Queen St. W., 416-599-4779
