Earmuffs, Torontonians! The pottiest of potty-mouthed chefs, Gordon Ramsay, has hinted he’s considering a restaurant in Toronto.
The 44-year-old says he’d like to open up shop here, but only if he finds success first in Montreal.
Ramsay recently bought a stake in Laurier BBQ, a Montreal fixture since 1936 that’s known for its barbecued chicken.
While in Toronto recently for a cancer fundraiser, Ramsay told the National Post he was excited about the project and if it goes well he’ll hopefully “be back to try something similar in Toronto.”
But, based on his reported financial and personal troubles, the Hell’s Kitchen star may not move too quickly to open up shop in the Big Smoke. According to the Daily Mail, Ramsay has lost millions following the recession and is also wrapped up in a bitter family dispute after he fired the CEO of his company, who is also his father-in-law.
