Drink This: the Patron Hacienda #2

A few weeks back, Playa Cabana added yet another location to its quickly expanding roster of restaurants. Hacienda, the third taco-slinging joint, is more low-key (food-wise at least) than its brethren, though the same pumping beats pulse out alongside the characteristically boisterous signage.

Revellers slinging back summery libations add to the atmosphere. Unsurprisingly, the cocktail list is tequila-heavy, with bottles tucked away in a cage of sorts next to the downstairs bar. Casey Fiorio, who also pours at Cantina, is responsible the libations.

The Patron Hacienda #2 ($14) is a patio-geared medley of Patron Reposado, Lillet Blanc, Grand Marnier and fresh lime. We’re told that they’re still working on a third, more potent version, surely destined to make the drinker fall over.

Enjoy on the upstairs patio, where a cool breeze and a view of the street make for excellent partners in drinking crime.
