Earlier this month, Now Magazine reported that Jeff and Nuit Regular — the duo behind some of the best Thai restaurants in the city — were working on a new downtown project. Well, the wheels are moving: the Regulars have teamed up with Janet Zuccarini (owner of Gusto 101), who will act as a silent partner for their new restaurant, which will be called Pai.
Zuccarini tweeted about her involvement with the project yesterday, indicating that it will be located in the site of a former Golden Griddle. Mr. Regular confirmed the upcoming downtown venture with us, adding that there are still many details to be ironed out before an official announcement is made.
Pai is a city in Northern Thailand where Mr. Regular and his wife, Nuit, met. As the name would suggest, the new restaurant will focus on Thai cuisine from that region.
