We all know that living in Toronto is expensive. So expensive, in fact, that the city was recently named the priciest in Canada. But even armed with that knowledge, this hasn’t stopped fans from seeing red over the absurd pricing for Drake concert tickets.
In October, Drake and British-born rapper 21 Savage are headed to Toronto for two dates on Drake’s “It’s All A Blur Tour.” Drake’s first headlining tour since 2018, the shows will kick off on June 29 in Memphis Tennessee, with stops in cities including Chicago, Boston, New York, Montreal and Vancouver, before wrapping up on October 5 and 7 at Scotiabank Arena.
Tickets for both concert dates went on sale in April, and it didn’t take long for a slew of fans to express their anger on social media about the eye-popping ticket prices. Ticket prices started at $300 to more than $1000 for not very great seats.
Upset fans uploaded videos to TikTok to voice their frustration over the astronomical price of tickets.

“Bro thinks we got his bank account,” commented one person. “I was ready to spend $400 but $1.2k is crazy. even the $600 was pushing it for me,” another comment read.
But what really has fans raging, is the fact that tickets are considerably less expensive in other cities, leading some to question Drake’s loyalty to the “beautiful city” he claims to love so much.
When Drake makes two stops at Montreal’s Centre Bell in July, fans will have to fork over $537 per ticket to sit in section 103. Sitting in the same section at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena will cost fans over $400 more a whopping $942.51 per ticket.
Moving over to The Motor City, section 105 will run you US $279.50 — about $386 Canadian, while fans in Atlanta, Georgia are paying approximately $617 Canadian for similar seating.
The cheapest available tickets for the Toronto show will run you $463.51 and will see you sitting in section 301. In Montreal, you can grab a cheap seat way up in the nosebleeds (section 403) for $208.25 a ticket.
One fan boasted in the comments section on TikTok that tickets for the August 3 show in Milwaukee cost her US $66 —the equivalent of about $87 Canadian.
Back in March, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Ticketmaster which argued they mislead consumes for their own financial gain. In the complaint provided to the Toronto Star, a Montreal man purchased two “Official Platinum” seats for Drake’s concert at the Bell Centre on July 14 for $789.54 each. According to the complaint, the next day, Drake added a second show for July 15 with the same seats available for more than $350 less.
