Fancy footwear retailer Gravitypope is landing at Queen and Ossington

Gravitypope has been fulfilling “shoe dreams” (yes, that’s a real thing, according to a satisfied customer on Facebook) since 1990. Originally just a fancy shoe store in Edmonton, the footwear chain expanded to Calgary and Vancouver, adding clothing and accessories into the mix. Now, the retailer is setting up shop in Toronto at Queen and Ossington.

The new store, which is scheduled to open in November, will carry its usual footwear, along with clothing and accessories, featuring labels that could include Betsey Johnson and Isabel Marant for her, A.P.C. and Moncler for him, and Camper and Hunter for both.

The boutique will no doubt be tastefully outfitted with original furniture and fixtures as its western Canadian counterparts are.

Just don’t ask us what “gravitypope” means.
