Toronto has been battling it out with Mother Nature these days, but if wacky weather isn’t an indication that summer is (fingers crossed) just around the corner, then the reveal of the Edgefest lineup certainly is.
Now in its 26th year, the summer music festival, put on by 102.1 The Edge, will bring a slew of big performers to Downsview Park on July 31. That includes Band of Horses, The Lumineers, The Neighbourhood, Mother Mother, July Talk, Dinosaur Bones and more. Early bird tickets go on sale today, and standard passes will be available to the public on April 12. The full lineup and tickets are available here.
And with the city’s summer concert announcements in full swing, the Toronto Urban Roots Festival, or TURF, announced its final roster of artists last week.
From July 4-7, Fort York will transform into a granola-hippie-folk haven. TURF’s lineup boasts Xavier Rudd, Yo La Tengo, Dawes, Bell & Sebastian, Arkells, The Cat Empire, Joel Plaskett Emergency, Kurt Vile & The Violators, and Fitz & The Tantrums, to name a few. Get your tickets before they sell out.
