Milan Fashion Week just got a taste of the Wild West meets biker chick, thanks to Toronto’s Dean and Dan Caten, creators of Dsquared2. They were the only Canadian designers featured on the catwalk.
Their fall/winter 2011 collection, showcased in Milan, includes the basics: skin tight jeans, leather biker jackets and white shirts, tossed with wide-brimmed hats, lace-up boots, fringed capes, and long fur coats. It’s a confident and tough look that everyone will crave come September. Below, our breakdown of their collection.
The trends: Western, fur, leather, denim and hats
The colours: black, burgundy and plaid
The accessories: wide-brimmed hats, studded belts, leather gloves and bow ties
Who would wear: sexy tomboys who have a thing for Southern hospitality
Where to buy: Looks from the show will be available for pre-order soon, but you can get other DSquared2 items at DSquared.com, Holt Renfrew, 50 Bloor Street, or TNT Woman, 55 Avenue Road.
