Enoteca Sociale may have taken the city by storm last year with a particular kale salad, but there’s much more to the place than leafy greens. Currently the enoteca is serving its answer to Winterlicious: a set dinner menu based on a glorious round of parmigiano reggiano that’s been aged for six years.
In terms of cocktails, the list is short but sweet. Back for a second year, the mulled cider ($12) is a big draw during the brisk winter months. Farm-fresh Royal Gala apple cider is mulled in-house with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. The apple base is topped with splashes of Maker’s Mark and Amaro Montenegro liqueur, steamed to order and finished with a cinnamon stick and a curl of orange rind.
If this doesn’t take the chill away, we don’t know what will.
