It’s never been easier to go out with a group of friends with different dietary restrictions, and Cheffry’s Artisanal Bistro is proof of that. Vegan selections and meat-centric options come together on a menu that’s far from bland or traditional.
Vegan items like masti (a Mumbai street food dish consisting of mango, rice puffs and potatoes) and maple roasted root vegetable soup complement carnivore crowd-pleasers like the Canadian poutine, which is crafted with bison gravy, and chipotle duck tacos.
“If I didn’t decide to open up the restaurant and start taking steps towards turning my dream into reality, I would have never done it,” reads the website, introducing the eponymous restaurant to its chef. “I envisioned a place where people could come together and experience wonderful moments, while indulging in my works of art.”
Cheffry himself is a former executive of 5-star hotels and resorts, and his eponymous eatery offers up his own cooked creations, all made with fresh ingredients and using slow, traditional techniques. Essentially, his menu is a labour of love. The result is an extensive, reasonably-priced list of salads, sandwiches and tacos, soups and snacks inspired by flavours from around the world.
A selection of non-alcoholic beverages is also available, from Naked smoothies to coffee-based drinks and mocktails, like a virgin mojito. And, the restaurant is also available for private events.
