Chef Eric Wood announced today that he is no longer affiliated with Hawthorne Food and Drink, the Richmond Street restaurant that opened late last year. His last day in the kitchen was March 28.
Wood did not give specifics as to why he has moved on from Hawthorne, but he did say that he’s very excited for sous chef Binh An Nguyen (formerly of The Spoke Club and Winchester Kitchen and Bar) to be taking his place in the kitchen.
Next up for Wood: he is involved with a new downtown boutique hotel that is slated to open in mid-May. We’ll update about the new project as we learn more.
