Canada’s Wonderland set to open July 7 as city attractions gear up for summer

Plus, the opening dates for the Toronto Zoo and the CN Tower

We’ve finally arrived at the moment many have been waiting for: the province is in step 1 of its reopening plan, which means (hopefully) that step 2 will begin on July 2. As part of this stage in reopening, many of the city’s most popular attractions will open their doors and welcome visitors.

It looks like attractions will be back this summer, but they’ll be back in a slightly different way. Guests will have to make a reservation and wear masks in public areas, and time and space will be limited.

Here’s a number of attractions that will be opening just in time for summer fun.

Canada’s Wonderland: the park opens to season pass holders from July 5-6 and the general public on July 7. Reservations can be made online from June 27. Some new safety precautions you’ll need to know about include health screenings for all guests, hand sanitizing stations, masks must be worn for anyone over the age of two, reservations are required in advance and the park suggests that someone in your group have the Canada Wonderland mobile app installed and ready to go. Toronto Zoo: the Toronto Zoo opens from June 12-18 for zoo members (season pass holders) and on June 19 for the general public. Masks are required in all public spaces, all guests must go through health screening questions and temperature checks before entering and reservations must be made online ahead of time here

CN Tower: the CN Tower will reopen on July 15 to the general public. Timed tickets go on sale July 1, and Edge Walk bookings will begin on August 1. Pack a picnic because the CN’s restaurants will be closed until further notice, but we’re still happy to see that the tower and Edge Walk are reopening!

We checked in with some of our other beloved spots, and there are no concrete reopening plans yet but we will be updating this article regularly with details. If you know of a popular attraction opening its doors soon, feel free to send us a note.
