At York Paediatric Therapy Services Inc. we know camp is all about summer fun! So we have created a variety of summer camp experiences lead/supervised by registered Occupational Therapists that will focus on various aspects of your child’s development and needs. Our aim is to provide each child with a memorable & unique experience that achieves personal success and independence. We incorporate a multi-sensory approach to teaching printing or writing, physical activities, arts and crafts, and gross and fine motor activities. The implementation of sensory integrative techniques and use of ‘zones’ as well as co-operative activities will help to foster the awareness of how to regulate oneself in different social situations. Theme days, age appropriate activities and life skills are an integral part of the program, and we offer many helpful hints for home and school.
