Arrowsmith Cognitive Intensive Program

Looking for an opportunity to enhance your child’s learning capacity this summer? Arrowsmith School is an independent school focused on helping students of all ages with specific learning difficulties, by using the principles of neuroplasticity. Arrowsmith School’s Cognitive Intensive Program targets the Symbol Relations cognitive function that processes ideas and concepts. This program assists learners with understanding what is read and heard, seeing connections between ideas, processing concepts, and mathematical/logical reasoning. This cognitive function plays out in academic learning as well as in understanding our world. Individuals at all levels of functioning in this area can benefit from this program. Our experience has been that through targeting this cognitive function, we see positive changes in the individual’s ability to understand the world around them. The Cognitive Intensive Program is scheduled to run from July 2nd through to August 9th, 2019, at both of Arrowsmith’s Toronto and Peterborough campuses.
