This Sunday’s Pride Parade may be the perfect antidote to last weekend’s violent show of G20 protesters. Instead of broken windows and vandalism, expect Yonge Street to be filled with loud and proud partygoers. By standing a few feet taller, you’ll be able to see a lot more. The bank, located at the corner of Yonge and Bloor, is a longtime favourite spot so if you want to stand proud on the steps, make sure you get there early.

While the Pride Parade is a party in itself, regular parade goers know there are also all sorts of mini-parties happening all along the route. Therefore, for many, the greatest way to celebrate Pride is to make a salsa dip, invite yourself over to your friend’s place, and watch the parade go by with your bests

Note: For all those looking to get the best spot, the Pride Parade starts at 2 p.m., begins at Bloor Street and Church Street, makes its way west over to Yonge Street, and then turns off Yonge Street onto Gerrard Street, where it makes its way back east to Church Street.
