Toronto Craft Beer Festival presents RendezBrews, a four-day festival celebrating independent and traditional craft brewers. Coming from a partnership with RendezViews, one of Toronto’s largest patios, the festival will take place from Sept. 23 to 26.
After it was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, RendezBrews will be hosted at RendezViews, the 30,000-square-foot patio located at 229 Richmond St. W.
Featuring five sessions with 18 independent craft breweries, local food, and live music, the beer festival is inviting festival-goers and beer lovers to sample beers they never had before, says Guy Exley, of the Toronto Craft Beer Festival
RendezViews is a partnership between two downtown restaurants, The Fifth and The Ballroom. With its colourful picnic tables and vibrant art murals, it became one of the city’s go-to spots to grab a drink.
“The RendezViews being the art space that it is, it fits very well with the whole craft brewery images [as] something unique within the city,” Exley told Post City. “We just felt that was a really good partnership to kinda blend the two together.”
There will also be a public viewing of Global Citizen Live on Saturday, Sept 25 from 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Global Citizen Live will feature artists across six continents with the goal of defending the planet and ending poverty.
Tickets for each of the five sessions are available online. Every ticket includes five tokens for sampling at $2 each. More information on the different sessions and ticket prices can also be found on the festival’s website.
The beer festival will also follow the Covid-19 guidelines and precautions. Guests will be required to wear masks when they are not eating and drinking.
While the festival will be hosted at RendezViews’ outdoor space, the indoor venues will be available for washrooms, lounging, and additional food and beverages.
“The event is all about having fun, sampling some great craft beers, enjoy great food, having some great, great music to listen to,” Exley said. “It’s just an opportunity to socialize in an entertaining environment.”
