Local accessories brand announces new collab with Tanya Kim

Thanks to a new collaboration between Toronto accessories brand ai Toronto Seoul and Canadian TV personality Tanya Kim; you can now buy a vegan leather bag and matching dog leash. Both Kim and the founders of ai Toronto Seoul are Korean-Canadian and they share the same core cruelty-free fashion values.

โ€œAs a brand founded by Korean-Canadian women, we felt an instant connection to Tanya and it quickly became apparent that we shared a core set of values; including a commitment to cruelty-free fashion, animal welfare and advocacy,โ€ said ai Toronto Seoul co-founder Hannah Kim, in a recent press release.

Both items in the new Mabel line, named after Tanya Kimโ€™s rescue dog Mabel, are made from premium caramel-coloured vegan leather. The bag was designed to be worn hands-free around the waist or cross-body and has a lining made from recycled plastic bottles.

The Mabel leash that accompanies the bag can withstand weight up to 1,000 pounds, is waterproof and designed with Highland Hounds (a local canine accessory brand) to ensure quality and practicality.

Why a leash and bag combination? For Tanya Kim, itโ€™s all about her love for dogs and fashion.

โ€œBeing an animal advocate, Iโ€™ve always dreamt of marrying my passion for dogs with my love for fashion (and function!),โ€ she said in a press release.

Tanya Kim is best known for her role as a former etalk co-host and a former entertainment reporter for BT Toronto. She has two emotional support dogs โ€” Mabel and Frankie โ€” and has long been an animal advocate as an OSPCA ambassador.
