The wildly-popular pop-up, Sunny’s Chinese, has returned with a nine-course set menu that’s available for one weekend only.
As of today (January 10), Sunny’s Chinese newsletter subscribers will have exclusive access to takeout from the pop-up from Jan. 14 through Jan. 16 for pick-up.

The nine-course set menu is priced at $140 and feeds between two and three people. Subscribers will see plenty of shareables, as well as the return of some old favourites. Without giving too much away, Sunny’s has shared that the menu does contain pork, beef, oyster sauce, gluten, wheat, soy, walnuts, rice, alliums, and sesame. At this time, Sunny’s has announced that it is unable to accommodate for vegan, celiac, gluten-free, soy-free, allium free or sesame-free diets. In addition to the regional Chinese food menu, diners can also order wine and sake from the restaurant’s bottle shop.

Known for serving up tasty dishes that highlight the distinctive cuisines of China’s different regions, Sunny’s Chinese first came onto the scene as a pop-up back in November 2020. Late September 2021, the restaurant revealed that it is opening a brick-and-mortar storefront this spring at 60 Kensington Ave. In addition, Sunny’s Chinese opened its upscale sister restaurant, MIMI Chinese, in mid-October 2021.
Sunny’s Chinese currently does not list its menu online. Those who are interested in the limited-edition tasting menu must sign up for the newsletter, first!
